Research project COALA started
Funded by the Sächsische Aufbaubank (SAB) as part of the ESF Plus InnoTeam program.
The new research project COALA—Coatings for Advanced Layered Architectures—focuses on the reliable and durable coating of complex-shaped components.
Participants include ANTACON GmbH, the Laser Institute at Mittweida University of Applied Sciences (LHM), and IfU GmbH.
The joint kick-off meeting took place on March 26, 2026, at the Laser Institute in Mittweida.
Our responsibilities include, in particular, project coordination as well as the development of measurement and sensor systems.
For us, the COALA project represents the integration of modern coating technologies into complex, real-world processes and the development of advanced expertise in the field of laser coating.
