IfU GmbH - Privates Institut für Umweltanalysen GmbH was founded in 1993 by the four shareholders Professor Dr. Wolfram Scharff, Dr. Günther Schmidt, Till Wallendorf and
Axel Delan - all former employees of the TU Chemnitz. Based on their own know-how and a healthy portion enthusiasm a long term cooperation with partners in Russia.
The company has quickly grown to a service provider in the field of environmental analysis and instruments specialized for plasma characterization.
In a short time, the number of employees increased to over 25. IfU GmbH is one of the world's four companies that develop together with Russian scientific partners and
commercially offer complete acousto-optic device systems for various application areas worldwide.
This was followed by further innovations:
» the portable, internet-enabled, full-fledged ECG device" IntelliCard" (1998)
» Innovative methods for emission measurements (1999)
» a measuring device for the characterization of plasma coating systems (2004)
» controls for electrodeless UV lamps (2005)
» a device system for characterizing laser melting systems (2007)
» remote air temperature profiler (2014)
» services in the fields of optical sensors (2016)
» drone-based optical measuring systems (2019)
In the frame of the company’s development, solid cooperations with partners
(
company Sigma Optic, Moskau)
in Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, South Africa, Canada and Mexico were established.
We successfully participate in international EU joint research projects and national R & D networks.
» 1999 IfU Diagnostic Systems was founded with a focus on scientific equipment
manufacturing and production as well as corresponding support services.
» 2000 move to the own new company building in Lichtenau.
» 2004 the company IfU GmbH Privates Institut für Analytik was founded - specializing in
environmental analysis and environmental services.
» 2008 foundation of the company ITS Innovation und Technologie Service GmbH Co. KG with the
area of innovative business consulting
with location in Dresden.
» Since 2014 there is a close cooperation with the Russian partner
ATTEX.
A network of partners has been set up in Europe to distribute, develop and service equipment for remote temperature measurement.
» In 2017, the new business unit copter-based measurement services was established.
